We always stay at the Sands Motel when we are in San Simeon. Each time is a really pleasant experience, it's affordable, clean, quiet and in a great location. Along with good size rooms, we are within a very short drive down the road to Cambria or stroll down to the beach and other sites to see. Sands Motel is great and we look forward to staying with them again.

We really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful,comfortable, and quite motel. The room was very spacious and clean and the view was awesome! Very nice breakfast in the morning too, and your staff members are very pleasant and accomadating. We can' wait to enjoy another restful stay with you. I recently stayed at this motel and my expierence was great. The room was large and the TV recieved many channels. It was quiet and very relaxing. On top of all that I do not believe that you can find better service anywhere else. The day we checked out my girlfriend left a stuffed animal in the room. Living so far away it made it hard to just go back and pick it up. The people at the motel went out of their way to find, box up and ship it off to us even though it was justa stupid stuffed animal. That kind of service and all around kindness is hard to find anywhere else! I was definatly stay here again! Thanks again for all your troubles!! Ryan and Devyn room 125

During our stay in August 2008 we experienced a most positive stay at this motel.

The Owner's/Management "Tino & Yun" were very friendly and accommodating during our 3-night stay. They were both very helpful with great suggestions on what to do or where to eat. The beds at the Sands Motel were wonderful. Our room was always neat and clean when we would return in the afternoon. We enjoyed several restaurants in the area that were walking distance during our stay.

My 11 yr old daughter and I had a partial ocean view, we were able to access to the beach easily walking. My suggestion to anyone wanting to go down to the beach area....Don't climb down the dirt/rocks it could be dangerous. My daughter & I walked down a rock hill that was not steep at all which was located to the far the right of the beach (sort of facing the creek) and is very safe. Also, while we were on the beach we saw about 10 – 15 jellyfish which washed ashore (so be safe in the water and watch out for the jellyfish make sure if you have children or pets that you or they don't accidentally step on one because they are in the shallow end of the ocean/waves.

The Owners/Management is constantly overseeing the entire property at all times especially the maintenance of the motel pool. The indoor 3ft - 7 1/2 ft pool is kept at 85 - 87 degrees and is very nice and is open from 9am - 9pm. We loved it!!!! And we'll be back in December 2008.

I would highly recommend this motel for anyone who wants to have a lovely, priced right and most memorable stay. We would recommend it to anyone.

I love the Sands Motel. Every time my family and I travel down the California Coast we have to stop at the Sands for at least a night or two to just relax and unwind. It's so quiet you can hear the ocean breaking at night and it always lulls me to sleep. The pool is great! and so are the rooms, big, spacious and clean. They are THE best value for your money in San Simeon and Cambria combined.
